Constance Le Grip has been appointed a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats), the EPP. Le Grip, who grew up in Strasbourg, has been working in governmental roles in her native France since 2002, where she is a Member of the Union pour un Mouvement Populaire (UMP), led by Nicolas Sarkozy.

Her roles have included one as a technical advisor at the Elysee, in charge of relations with the French National Assembly and European Parliament. This allowed her to closely experience the French Presidency of the European Union.
