Joseph Daul re-elected as Chairman of the EPP
Joseph Daul has been re-elected to the Chairmanship of the European People's Party (EEP) Group in the European Parliament by 225 of 228 Group Members voting. Daul, MEP for France (UMP), has chaired the Group since January 2007.

He took over from Hans-Gert Poettering. He is a member of the Conference of Presidents and the Committee on Agricultural and Rural development.

A former Mayor of Pfettisheim, France, Daul has been an MEP since 1999. He is also an Officer of the Agricultural Order of Merit, a Knight of the National Order of Merit and a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
