In his new position as Head of Unit, Peter Dröll is responsible for development of innovation policy in DG Entreprise, with a special focus on lead markets and policy analysis. In 2004, Peter Dröll assumed his responsibilities as Head of Cabinet for Commissioner Janez Potočnik (Science and Research). In 1991 Dröll began his career for the European Commission working in a variety of Directorate Generals including the DG Financial Control, DG Environment and DG Enlargement. In 2003 he worked in the Cabinet of Commissioner Günter Verheugen.
