Linklaters has appointed Kerstin Fried as Counsel in its competition/antitrust practice in

Brussels, as part of the firm’s annual promotions. Kerstin, currently a Managing Associate
in Linklaters’ Brussels office, has significant experience in EC and German competition law
and is a well-respected expert in state aid. Kerstin joined Linklaters in 2001 and has recently
worked on advising a German bank in Phase II proceedings in relation to the German credit
crunch rescue packages, representing DHL in the Phase II state aid proceedings regarding the
transfer of its central European hub from Brussels to Leipzig and advising Hyundai and Kia on
their large scale investment projects in Eastern Europe.
