This brief overview of our services gives some hints on how to use the features of our website in their respective section:
Homepage
Our homepage gives you an at-a-glance overview of what’s on in European
affairs – an event of the day, the latest personnel changes in Brussels,
news, a birthday, and a selection of upcoming top events.
Full text search
In the navigation column on the left you find a full text search box. Type
in a key word or phrase, and results are displayed sorted by website sections:
Events, Personnel news, News, and Event Reports.
Calendar search
The small calendar is also always visible on the EA website, and the dates
are clickable. This is the fastest way to get an overview of events on any
given day. The calendar’s colours indicate the activities of the European
Parliament.
Policy Fields
For a quick overview of what is going on in a certain policy area, choose
one of our 21 policy fields from the drop down menu at the centre of our homepage
and get the results immediately. You can then modify your results by using
our filtering options.
Events
Clicking on Events in the navigation bar will take you to the events section
with the current day as the start page. For more specific results, use the
calendar, the policy field dropdown menu, or Advanced Search.
Advanced Search
Choose the date, period, location, policy field or any of the four combined to
find the events you’re looking for.
EU Professional subscribers can set personal filters and use the reminder function.
In addition, they can search for events using event categories (e.g. press conference
or reception) or look for events from particular organisations.
Submit Events
If you are organising a conference, seminar, reception etc. or you know of an
event that you would like to see featured, you can use the online form on our
website to submit the information. If the submitted event is relevant and data
sufficient, our editorial team will put it on the agenda. For additional information,
we will get in touch with you.
Personnel News
In this section you find hundreds of articles on recent appointments and career
moves in reverse chronological order. Two drop-down menus enable you to filter
the news items in order to find a certain nationality and/or the type of organisation
the respective persons are working for (e.g. EU Institutions, Companies).
News
European Agenda announces campaign launches, studies, relocations of offices,
new projects and similar information relevant to the fields of politics and
public affairs in Europe in this section. Items are listed in reverse alphabetical
order and can be searched via the full-text search field.
Event Reports
Our editors report on selected events in Brussels. You can find these reports,
pictures, further links on the topic and information on organisers here or
send a chosen picture by clicking on „Recommend picture“ and filling
in the e-mail form.
Directory
The EA Service directory lists more than 700 organisations and links directly
to their websites. You can search them by type of organisation, by policy field
and by full-text search. If you think there is something important missing
in the directory, you can submit an entry by clicking on „missing link“.
Download
Here you will find pdf versions of our monthly wall calendar which features a
selection of events, the parliament’s agenda, and European Council meetings.
Ten highlights for the respective month and a preview on the following month
are also included in the calendar.
Newsletter
On this page, you can subscribe to our newsletters – Agenda Weekly, Agenda
Highlights and Agenda Topics. Just fill in the form and tick the respective boxes
to receive information.

Download a pdf version of our concise topical directories with addresses, descriptions
and pictures of important representatives of specific sectors.
