Several of the German wine growing regions are situated in Hessen, such as the Bergstrasse and Rheingau regions.

The Hessian Representation in Brussels was the venue of an atmospheric gettogether on Tuesday 10 October. Wine and food from several regions in the German federal state attracted some 1,000 guests. Many of them took the occasion as a convenient source of regneration after attending seminars and workshops at the European Weeks of Regions and Cities.
