On the evening of 20 September, the representation of the German Land of Hessen hosted a special event dedicated to the powers of innovation and knowledge in the Rhine-Main-Region, an urban agglomeration spanning four German NUTS-1-Regions referring to itself as a "region". MEPs and other invited guests exchanged views on the perspectives for innovation, investment and progress and the importance of strengthening the regional and local levels.
