The European Youth Network on Sexual and Reproductive Rights, EuroNGOs, the European NGOs for sexual and reproductive health and rights, population and development, World Population Foundation (WPF), the Netherlands and the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education (RFSU), are organising a Hearing in the European Parliament on 12th February 2008. The aim of the Hearing is to raise awareness on the unmet sexual and reproductive health needs of young people in the global South. The participating Parliamentarians will have a chance to hear young people raising their own voice of the reality of the sexual and reproductive health and rights situation in the global South. The focus of the Hearing will be on understanding the urgent need to have effective programmes and policies on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for young people within the Development Policy on the European Union level. There will be a special emphasis on comprehensive sexuality education, by showing best practices, first hand experience from young people in the South and interactive discussion.
